I'm going to buy a new hard drive but my computer only supports SATA(1.5 gb/s). Will a SATA II drive(3.0 gb/s) work with my pc?

yes. you just have to move some type of switch on the hard drive. why not just get a sata1 hard drive? you wont get any different speeds with the II

Extremelly hard indeed. A fast transition between 1.5 and 3.0 is the reason. Grab a SATAII and it will just turn down to 1.5GB/s.

Some sata 1.5 mb's will support sata 3.0 without issues. If there is a conflict, there will be a jumper on the HD that will force 1.5.
