Hard Drive Problems :-(

Hey i need help really badly! Ok so heres the deal i have a maxtor 6L200R0 200 Gig hard drive, but its my primary slave, my primary master is a western digital 40 gig drive, nothing special i know but heres the problem. My computer was running great and then i was having some issues with slowness and adware and yada yada so i figured ill reformat, so i did and i installed windows fine and everything. All this time im thinking "ill use the second drive to back up my files" which i did cept heres the problem:

The drive wont be recognized like in the my computers thing, i installed maxblast 4 which came with the drive and the program sees it there, when i boot my computer up, the main screen recognizes it there, but for some reason it wont show up in the My Computers thing, and i really need to get to the info in there, i have SOO much so please

Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Computer Management

Go into Disk Management.

Locate your HDD and right click it

After, Go to Change drive letters and path. Add the drive as the letter you want. You are done!
