Graphics Card (Dual Monitor Support)?

Hi,

I'm building a tower pc for a friend of mine but he wants to be able to use dual monitors, he does already on his laptop, he has an additional monitor plugged into VGA port. I'm looking at a AMD Radeon HD card only entry level, nothing for gaming or high end tasks but it's rare to find cards these days with 2 DVI outputs but rather a DVI and a VGA or a DVI and HDMI. If the card has two outputs, say a DVI and a VGA can dual monitors be used, one connected using DVI and other on VGA although their two different ports?

Yes, and same for the DVI and HDMI cards too.

Yes. Almost all graphics cards have at least two outputs and all of them are capable of doing this. I even have an old PCI Matrox card in a drawer whose sole purpose is to allow two monitors.

yes, you should (with the exception of some of the 3000 cards) be able to use all the ports at once.

A USB dongle would work too.
