okay
im having a bit of of a dumb moment
what GPUs have more then one core?
and what would be a better CPU a dual or a quad for a Single GPU with more then one core?
thanks

Nope. Not that I know of. First off, with consumers still shelling out their life savings on high end single cores, why would they make a dual? Secondly, if I recall, "shaders" are kind of like "multi-cores". Someone correct that if I'm wrong... Thirdly, I think they'd have a huge heat issue! But, one day we might just see them, after all people never thought we'd have dual core CPUs.

There are no dual core GPUs as of yet. There are dual GPU video cards such as the HD 4870 X2 and the GTX 295.

GPU architecture is not at all the same to CPU architecture. There is not a dual core GPU as there is a dual core CPU.

Are there any CPUs with ROPs at the moment? They are completely different things.

okay
now then with any one of those cards which would be better?
a 2.9 - 3 GHz Dual core? or would a 2.66 quad be okay? for a sigle card with dual GPUs
