Good Virus Protection

Macafee is killing my comp with all the processes it has running. what is a good virus protection program that doesnt use up so much memory?

as raffaz already said, NOD32. It's light on resources and it has a much higher detection rate than mcafee.

i'll be the third to recommend NOD32. I love it. My computer's performance jumped when i took out Norton and put this on.

I use AVG, mostly because its free but it also doesn't use up alot of resources.

You could also try the Eset Smart Security Beta. It's a complete suite that includes anti-virus, anti-spyware, firewall etc. Kinda like Norton 360 but a lot better. Just ask if interested.

Well the Smart Security suite is still in beta so it's free obviously. As for when it comes to retail, I have no idea.
