Good Screen Recorder

I need a free screen recorder with an adjustable rectangle, because i want to record some youtube videos, and edit them with Windows Movie Maker (only recors sounds). It needs to be free, and have the 'Record everything in the rectangel' kind of tool, preferably records at a highish quality. It would be useful if you could also asjust the size of the recording rectangle.

Any recomendations ?

you could just download video downloader for FireFox, it let's you download youtube videos.

CapturePad does a good job of this, but I've only used the trial version. No restrictions on it.

Thanks, i got a program called camStudio, totally free, quality is OK, but the compatibility is bad with WMP.
