Going old school.

well i was going about my day a couple of days ago and found my moms old Palm Pilot IIIxe. now she never used it and i can't imagine why lol. anyays, i have the cradle for it and its connected to the back of my laptop now. i installed the software that came with it but for some reason my computer doesn't recognize it. does anybody have or use to have a palm pilot and if so can you explain how to hook it up?
