@Synorbs....It seems to me that the extent of your gaming is an important factor here.
Both of your systems are really aging. If your want to play DIII, in all it's splendor, as well as other state of the art games. You really need to think about upgrading everything.
There are games now, and a few scheduled for release, that are taking advantage of multiple cores, and threads. They require as much pixel pumpin' power as we can muster, a few utilizing PhysX, etc. What you build, AMD/Intel, or Nvidia/AMD is your choice, but believe me, just plugging in a new graphics card is a temporary band-aid.
Six months to a year later, that new card alone just won't cut it anymore.
