getting our website into the search engines' database

i built a website and uploaded it on geocities. but the domain name is from another company. both the hosting and the domain i used are free though. i want to ask how can i submit my site on different search engines. can anyone please help here.

as far as i know you have to pay for that, and your host will give that option to you based on what you paid for there service, it would be part of the package.

since all your stuff is free i doubt you will have the option to do so.

i believe there are places on the web that will push your site to search engines but you have to pay for that service as well.

You can manually submit your site to search engines yourself. Search google for more information.

link link and link. It's all about linking to your site

Your site will be indexed by the major search engines eventually as they look through it for updates. Try internal linking as well (exchange links with counterparts inside Geocities)- it's like a pointer from one page to the next within the main site itself.
