getting extra screen when starting computer

I just reinstalled Win XP. I got rid of all my problems but now, everytime the computer starts or restarts I get a screen that asks me to choose which O.S. I wish to boot-up in. My choices are windows xp or windows xp. Is there a way bypass this screen? Thanks.

Go to Start > Run... > msconfig. This should bring up a dialog box with a bunch of startup file information. Click the BOOT.INI tab, and you should be able to edit out the bad option. Make sure you back up and create a restore point first!

Looks like you've installed a new version of windows alongside the existing version. Find out which partition the old version resides in a delete it within Windows Disk manager.
