I'm getting a new comp and I want to keep it under 700 dollars.

I'll prolly be buying from www.cyberpowersystems.com so if you guys wanna take a look at that site and pick some shit out that you think is the best (core components) then I would love some feedback...This is what I was thinking about....

ps i'm mainly wanting this just to play games like BF V and Ut2k4, FarCry and be able to play games in the future.

Hey, (try to keep the language down dont say S**t doesnt bother me but kids go on here. The above computers im afraid couldnt run farcry, I'll have a look around for you. Good luck :)

If your wanting to run new games u need more than 512MB ram, I had a 1GB and that wasnt enough for BF2 (if you dont want it to lag at the start) so i got 2GB and you realy notice the difference but then again that would make things over $700

cpu: E6400 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16819115004
$220

mobo: can't really help with this, just make sure it supports the core 2 duo cpus and pci-e
$100

ram: Kingston 2x 512 ddr2 667 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820144199
$115

case: Some crappy one with a 400W psu http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16811164054
$28

Vid card: 7600GT
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814130054
$115

Hdd: Seagate 200gb
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16822148066
$70

DVD-drive: something cheap
~$30

Total price is ~$678

And the performance will be superior to the ones that u posted. The links are to newegg since I'm alot more familiar with it than any other place. And yes, the case and the psu are most likely going to be quite bad since they are so cheap, so u could use the $20 left to get a better case&psu.

Well like Archy said, both them computers wont be able to run farcry very well at all. But i have found that buying a cheaper PC that has ok stuff and then upgrading it yourself cost alot less then buying something with Higher Specs. Ram and CPU are going to be the Main real factors you will want to look at. Buying something with 512mb of ram is ok, becuase another 512mb stick only really cost about 40$-60$ (check FSB).

cpu doesn't really mean much when gaming. Vid card is the most important thing, then ram.

Didnt you guys read what Raffaz said, this post was posted two years ago, hence teh poor specs. Look at the date on the original post, I dont know why al of the sudden it appeared. Also notice that tree never responded. Because now, those specs are like my 3 year old dell that sells on ebay for less than $400. So I assume Tree got his computer built within the last 2 years, and we probably dont need to respond anymore, lol. If you still want help Tree, just tell us, lol.
