A firewall wouldn't work, because you are already downloading the infected file... from what I understand, it attaches itself to whatever you are downloading (which your firewall wouldn't catch).

It may technically be illegal, but when has that ever stopped the government?
 
That just goes to show you that the government has its share of hypocrites... its a felony if you hack into a government agency's system, but they can do the same to you with no consequence!!!
 
These people that cry over copyrights shouldn't. If they would offer us stuff at a reasonable price, this wouldn't be happening. MS Office at $500?! I can get OpenOffice for free and it's stable and has more features than MS Office. No software is worth more than $150.

Just use linux.

If anything they will probably create an .exe or .bat (batch) file attach the file to the actual mp3 itself. So if linux tries to run this file it probably will just not play. :)
 
If only i knew how to operate linux, and didn't have to do anything else, like migrate hardware over, i'd try double booting with linux.
