I'm currently trying to replicate/mimic a simple program (called DesktopButtons) I found on the demo computers in an Apple Store. It basically has some icons embedded on the Desktop allowing you to go to different websites and doesn't show up in the Dock.
I work in a university computer lab and am tasked with creating an application that logs a person out, which pretty much needs to be in the form of the DesktopButton app.
Does anyone have any experience with this that could steer me in the right direction?
