I'm moving out of home and need my own computer.
I have a budget of $3000 for the computer but would like to spend around $2000
I will be using this system for a bit of everything. (Gaming, music, movies, browsing, using FTP for my website) Basically at times I will be doing intensive multi-tasking, I will have around 10-20 different things open and using bits and pieces from here an there, as I'm the owner of 7 websites including a Gaming and a web hosting site which is going to be quite well known in the next year, as they are growing quite large already)
With all of this, im going to need a system that wont get outdated in the next month lol.
I will need a system that is easy to upgrade etc. that has lots of room to grow.
I have currently chosen this system:
1 x AMD Athlon 64 4400+ Retail (939) Dual Core
1 x ASUS A8N-SLI-PREMIUM nForce 4 SLI Socket 939 Motherboard
1 x 2.0GB TWINX-3200C2(400MHZ) DDR RAM Corsair
2 x Western Digital 250G SATAII 7200 rpm HDD(16Mb Cache)
1 x XFX GeForce 7600GT XXX Edition 256meg DDR3 Dual DVI PCI-E(590Mhz)Xtrem
1 x LG DVD16X +- Super Multi DVD Rewriter with Software (Dual Layer Black)
1 x Panasonic 1.44 Floppy (Black)
1 x Antec P180 Performance One ATX MidiTower(no PSU)
1 x Powersupply Antec ATX TruePower 550W ver2
1 x Logitech Cordless Recharable Desktop Keyboard/mouse(967496-0122)
Total $2511.00 AUD
1. Are there other parts that I will need to get?
2. Will these parts work together to perform smoothly.
3. Should I upgrade any of the parts?
4. Have I gone overboard on any of the parts?
5. Are any of the parts listed got bad reputation or are starting to go out?
These are all questions that I would love to be answered.
As for the monitor that is another issue lol.
I will be getting a 32inch LCD display for under $2000 AUD but not sure what brand etc to get. That is not apart of the budget above.
Any ideas?
Please comment and help me choose a system i will be happy with for some time.
thanks.
