Gaming Computer for under 500 possible?

How would I do this I would need a good CPU-Motherboard Combo and Graphics, good HD, and I have sound, monitor, and case.

you're not gonna get much RAM for $40 :x

Maybe 2GB DDR2-800 if you're lucky, and thats kind of pushing it for gaming these days.
 
I don't see what's so great about it... DDR2, low speeds, decent timings but could be better for DDR2 at that price. Does it overclock well?

the RAM i have cost me 57$, that was back in April.

And it gets my Phenom 2 940BE to 3.8Ghz
so id say its good lol.

And i dont see a need for 1066Mhz+ speed ram, its a waste if you ask me..

I don't see how that is any more of a waste than some other upgrade options, even though improving memory performance does probably have the smallest effect on overall system performance.

And the link you gave was over $100.

At $57 yeah I'd say it'd be a good deal.

o well,

my PC dosnt lag or slow for anything, its like a freight train lol
