I have been using this cell service for a couple of months when someone told me about a free cell service (if you are within 500mb data, 200 minutes of call and 500 txts) which is great for a second cell phone for my wife. I also recently got a free USB modem with 500mb data (which is fine for emergencies when I can't use my main cell phone or find Wifi).
So far I have not been charged 1 dollar for this service and I was wondering:
How does this service work?

How are they able to do this service for free? (I know they have paid service if you would like to upgrade)
