fps question...

I always do this. Download the latest but one. Thats always the most stable, while they fix the latest one after problems have been reported.

well i tend to get the newest one as soon as it comes out but then i find CSS may crash or i just dont like the fps im getitng with it so i go back. meh ill just try the newest one, i wonder how old mine is..forceware driver 81.85, ill see how far behind i am. because IMO SLIed overclocked 6600gt's shouldnt lag in css ever! except those new HDR maps maybe

Two SLI'ed and overclocked 6600GT's shouldn't have a problem with HDR maps I wouldn't presume...

when i said multimedia drivers, i meant sound driver and video driver.. once i reinstalled it pretty much worked... im getting a cl_flushpacket now, which is basically an enormous lag spike.. it's a real pain, but im trying to fix it
