I'm kind of new to XP, but i was wondering if XP will format over
any backup extended dos partitions on my HD, when i re-install? I
know other versions of windoze will format the whole HD.
When you install XP it will give you a choice of what partition to install it to. If you have a seperate partition as a backup, you do not have to format that to install windows.
