font trouble

I just installed some new fonts into the font directory, and now under some programs they appear as blocks. How can install the original fonts? From Win CD?

The original fonts still should be there or did you already replace the original fonts?

I did replace some of the fonts, there were so many that some were replaced.

Some fonts do appear as blocks ...so dont worry about it..but if it were not supposed to look like that and if it was a system font then you can extract them by using the sfc tool of windows 98

SCF Tool? Where can I find it?

it is SFC and not SCF...
you can type it in the Run dialog box by pressing the Win+R key combo...then extract all fonts from the extract option....you can give a particular name of the font or just *.ttf to extract all the fonts...specify the target directory to C:\Windows\Fonts\

Yeah, I've got a similar problem but with Windows XP. What should I do?
