I'm new to building computers and I'm not sure whether this builds parts are all compatible with each other, and I am also wondering if it will be a decent gaming build.

Looks good, on the HD go with the Samsung spinpoint F3. Its cheaper, faster and more reliable than the caviar black.

PSU looks good corsair its a great brand. But look into modular there awesome I like this one.

The new CPU's AMD is coming out, they will be released by september. You might wanna wait a bit on upgrading.

The motherboard that he linked to is not Bulldozer compatible. It is a socket "AM3".

I updated the build to the ASUS Crosshair V Formula which is AM3+, and also you mentioned the modular power supply above. What exactly is better about those?
