Thanks I'm just tryin to fine tune it a little. I'm a nervous about building one, my two previous comp's have been dells w/ intel.
It will probaly be 2 more weeks before I place the order.
I figured I would go w/zipzoomfly because everything has decent prices and the shipping is free.

I was thinking maybe saving some money and go w/the 3200 winn core
or should I stick w/the 3500?

Ummm, the 3500+ has Winchester core as well. I just ordered one as well, it arrives from ZipZoomFly on Wednesday. Can't wait. I only paid $278 for the Winchester core model. Here is the link. ALso, you might want to fork out a bit more $$$ if you can and go with 6800GT for $460 on the second link below. I ordered two of the same card. THEY HAVE GREAT REVIEWS!

AMD Athlon64 3500+ 90nm Winchester Core.

you should do ok, the computer in my sig i just built a few days ago and it was my first build too, i had no idea what to do so i searched and read as much as i could and with the help of the guys on here she's all together and working nice.

as far as the processor i think i read somewhere that the 3200+ winnie can be overclocked just as high if not higher than the 3500+, if your in to overclocking. i dont know enough to attempt it and i dont have enough or the right speed of ram.

be sure to keep one of your other comp's hooked up so that if something does happen you can always jump on the net to for info.

ZEN is the 6800 gt that much better than the 6600 gt to warrent the cost?
If so I might think about switching but if I did I would probaly get a AGP version and MOBO.

OMFG yes Taylor. ANd get that 3500+ I showed you. I don't think you noticed, it is the Winchester Core 90nm as well, you can overclock it to FX-55 levels easily!

Lets put it this way... 3DMark03 Scores:

6600GT- 8,500-9,500

6800GT- 10,500-12,000

Nice difference, plus games run with better effects on the 6800Series. But if you are on a budget, the 6600GT is a GREAT CARD.

Thanks ZEN I,m gonna have to wait another weeks but I'm goin with the 6800 GT. Do you think my RAM will be alright?

I just noticed you are a fellow Hoosier

Yeah Taylor, I am from Geist area, Fishers. I just put Indianapolis so people can find it a bit easier. Anyways, your RAM is very good, but I would go with this instead. And get that 3500+ Winchester Core, and then I can bench my system versus yours when you get yours. We will be able to see what the extra 6800GT in mine makes a difference in! :D

BEST RAM IN THE WORLD HERE-

BTW, if you get Ballistix, get two 512MBs of course. :D
