I have an Acer Aspire One notebook.
It shows that it is connected to the WIFI with a strong signal but does not enable the browsers (Firefox and IE) to open pages.
When the notebook is connected to the router directly by cable the browsers open pages without any problem.
If I connect to another WIFI signal outside my accommodation then the browsers are also able to open the web pages.
I have tried various different solutions suggested on forums as well as reformatting the notebook.
What suggestions please?

Power cycle the wireless access point.

Is the netbook the only device that cannot connect via WiFi on that particular network?

If so:
Open a command prompt (Windows + R Keys > type "cmd" > press enter)

type the following:

ipconfig /release
ipconfig /flushdns
arp -d

I would then go into Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center > Manage Wireless Networks (on the left)

Select your Wireless Network and "Remove" it.

Reboot the netbook and rejoin to the Wireless network.
