I have a software file that a friend ave to me but it is in a .DWG format.
What is it and PLEASE tell me how to open it.

Thanks a bunch

D'OH! My bad, my bad... A .DWG file is a drawing file, AutoCAD uses it.

hehe, ok thankss, so i need AutoCAD to open it, or is there some sort of free viewing program to view it. An architect friend gave us plans on it.

Nope, but Autodesk (makers of AutoCAD, strangely enough :D) makes a reader for those types of files, though I believe you have to pay to get it. Look around on Google, you might just find an alternative!

If not, just get him to print them out for you. That's what my dad does (he uses AutoCAD).
