feedback when using stereo mixer

hey all, its been a while since ive posted here, its good to be back, anyway... i have been recording stuff on my computer using stereo mixer and i get feedback (hissing noise) and i was wondering how to eliminate it.

Usually feedback would be in the form of the signal coming back with an echo...not as a hiss. That seems more to do with your sound card...

Check this though. Go into your mixer, and disable the microphone. Maybe your getting a feedback from that if you have one.
