Fan Direction

How do I know which way round the fan goes so it is intake and which way is exhaust

If you look on the side of the fan, you'll see arrows that show the direction of the airflow and rotation of the blades. If you face the front of the fan (where you see the blades, not the frame the motor is mounted on) then it will pull air away from you.

Plug it in and find out

Plug it in and put your hand on each side and see which side is getting blown on.
Then if you want intake you'll put the side getting blown into into the case, and for exhaust out of the case.

ahh thanks russel i had already installed a screw in fan the wrong way before redaing your post so I have now changed it around so it is exhaust instead of intake

You can also look at the fins on the fan to tell which way it spins.
