External USB !!! (Need it ASAP)

Hello boys & Girlz,

I am looking for an external usb, something that i can plug in into my usb and that will give me access to atlest 2-3 more usb port, u know what i mean??? i also need it to have an extesnsion so i can just put it on my desk, i ran out of my usb ports

also by doing that how will that effect my usb hub? coz i mean i will like split my USB port in 3...

and if you can plese give me some links where i can use paypal to make my purchase, i like newegg, but i wasnt able to find anything there, maybe someone would have better luck : D

Its called a USB Hub, as far as I can tell you, it will not spike or damage your USB system...

here is one for example:

something like that maybe?
you plug in the one that goes from the USB of the Comp to the hub then you have 4 usb ports on the hub, it is self powered as to not draw too much power from the comp.

well the major difference between USB hubs is the name and whether they are 2.0 and how many ports...

to be honset I have only had expreience with a D-Link and another but to be honest I forget the name...and they both worked great...then there was a third one but it was 1.1 so I wont even go into that...lol

its haz bothe USB and FireWire

the only thing that i read from reviews that it bad it will fall, the stand for it is not that good, but i mean u can always lay it down right?

what u guys think should i get it?

Read the rest of the reviews...to be honest it looks ok as long as you dont want to use the stand, one other thing is if you plan to plug "recievers" of sorts in or USB drives then you need to watch out for spacing because they may be a tight fit.

ive run 2 externals and a DVD burner on this (I think, if not, 2 externals or 1 and 1...) but anyway I like it and no probs yet.
