Explain me this! angry rant (light hearted)

It's a big topic, but the trend is that OS's are getting more user friendly by essentially hiding the file system and providing layers on top to access it - search, indexes of commonly used files, files belonging to one application etc. The underlying system itself is staying the same. It's really going the same way as the mobile market, the filing system is there as it always has been, but the average user never accesses it directly.

Agree. Show most people that your typing anything on a black screen with white text (e.g a simple cmd command) and they think your an international hacker secret agent (maybe to far, but you get my point).But its something all computers have the ability to do, like you say most people just dont use it
