There is a certain bug with Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition. I believe whenever you un-install any type of symantec product including any type of Nortan and then install Symantec Antivirus Corporate, the program never starts up when windows starts and specifically doesnt show up in the system tray.
The bug to fix that problem is on symantec.com or right here . Ignore all the parts except the part where it says "The registry value that launches the icon is missing" That is the problem right there.
However, the fix says to create a new string value in that designated registry folder and name it Vptray and give it a certain location. The problem I'm having is that whenever I create a new string I can't change the name or change the location or really do anything to do it. It just sits there as New Value #1 and gives an error when you try to edit it all.
