Epson Stylus C66 ARGH

I've been having trouble for a loong time with my Epson Stylus C66.

Unfortunately, the warranty has long run out.

I'm always getting these gaps in my printouts. Some of the lines are faded and streaked horizontally.

I've run the printer utility that comes with this printer to fix that problem SO many times. I've gone through 15 or so different ink cartridges, and nothing.

Anyone have any idea as to why this might be happening?

have you tried changing the cartridges? and if same result is coming, then try cleaning the contacts. or if same cartridges you are using, then get the cartridges out, and get a lint free damp cloth. move the cartridge horizontally and vertically once. so that some colour leaves on damp cloth. then give a try.
