Encrypt Me!

Alright I'm looking for software recommendations on encryption software. My main concern is the encryption of my files. I am willing to pay for encryption software so don't worry if it's not freeware. I'd like to know what you think is best. I'd like something that cannot be broken from the outside easilly and also cannot be broken from my end of the computer to keep my annoying friend out of my files.

We here at my enterprise use software from PGP to encrypt highly sensative data that can not fall into the wrong hands. Might want to check them out.
