Dyeing Harddrive?

this very small ball bearing fan on my old gforce2 card sounds like a cricket sometimes. (almost exactly like a cricket).

you could also, unplug all your harddrives and start up your pc and see if the noise is gone.

and, or, open the side pannel on the case while its running, and put your ear right tward the center, so when it makes the noise you can tell witch side the noise is coming from. and unless theres any fans by your HDD, then it would be easy to count them out.

Theres a fan right near my harddrive. I have a thermaltake shark case and supposedly theres been complains that the fan scrapes on the filter. But that isn't whats causing the problem. Again DO not get confused that the background noise you hear that sounds like a grinding or shredding is the harddrive. That is just the fan.
