dvd slim drive help

I am putting it onto a desktop setup.. not a laptop, how do i adapt it?

why are you getting this? i dont think it would fit in a desktop, unless you got a laptop and took out the connector from the mobo, and somehow wired it to an ide cable. or, wire the cd drive board directly to an IDE cable. besides the fact that you can get a regular dvd drive for cheaper.

well i am limited to how much room i have, a regular dvd drive cannot fit. Surely there is a way, someone?

Ive never seen any type of adapter for this, how wont a regular drive fit?

I'm with the above ^^, although You can probably get an adapter or what not to get it to hook up to the IDE cable, it will leave a gap in the drive slot.

So getting a drive that will fit the reg. size slot would cost just as much or even cheaper...depending apon wich manufacturer You roll with.

You'll need one of these: Slim ATAPI to Standard ATAPI Adapter. And of course, you'll need to figure out a way to mount the drive, unless it's going into a slim bay already.
