Dvd Rom

Will a 16X DVD-ROM drive read CD-ROM as well. I plan on building a system with a burner and a DVD-ROM drive, but I want to make sure that standard Cd-ROM's will run in the DVD drive.

All DVD-ROM drives should, though you shouldn't see any difference between a usual CD-ROM drive.

Yes it sure will read normal cds!

It will probably run CD a little slower than a dedicated CD-ROM drive only. But you wont notice the difference.
