Dual monitos, switching to secondary monitor w/o alt tab game vista

Hi, I have two monitors hooked up right now and I want to be able to use the second monitor w/o having to alt tab.

Is this possible? I have vista.

What video card are you using? You'll either have to setup up the parameters in the ATI Catalyst Control Panel or the Nvidia Control Panel.

Just go into the Nvidia control panel and look for the setup multiple displays on the left.

do you have one card? or 2?
if you get a second card (like what i got, and put your 2nd monitor on it)
then you will be able to use the second monitor without closing what ever is on the first monitor
i.e. i can play RC Tycoon 3 on one 22" LCD and chat with my friends on Yahoo on the other.
but there is a draw back
my 2nd monitor doesnt have a start bar
so if i need to access anything that is minimized
im SOL

In your NVIDIA control panel go to 'Set up multiple displays'. select the option 'Configure independently from each other (Dualview)'. Then select the displays you want to use. Then select the primary monitor.

If you play games full screen then you will loose the game when you use another application. Play the game in a 'window' and you get to use the other screen for whatever you want while gaming.

I went to setup multiple displays, but it I don't see any options for what I am looking for.

Make sure you have updated to the latest version from the Nvidia website.
