Like I said in the other post about the Kingston Hyper-X (below) I was having problems and getting two beeps upon start up... which means a parity error. BUT... I fiddled with the bios and changed the burst length to 8 instead of 4 and now I don't get the parity warnings anymore...why? I had the ram installed on both 1A and 1B ram slots just like the mobo manual says to do.
The factory recommendations for the PC 3200 Hyper X by Kingston is 2-3-2-6. I uped the voltage to 2.65 and lowered the latency to 2-2-2-5. This stopped the crashing issue I had with every single game I owned and the memory dumps upon windows startup but I still had the parity issue until I changed the burst length to 8. Is this setting ok or will it kill my ram? And why does the burst length matter anyway?
BTW.. It runs like a dream now!
