i recently got dual nvidia geforce 6800's and they use. SLI? i think one does the top half of the screen and the other does the bottom. to increase the fps. and theres 2 monitor ports on each card.

so when i plug the monitor into one card does it use both?

and does the game have to support SLI for it to work? because in cod2 u can turn on SLI but other games u cant.

thanks.

yes, atleast thats what I always though, not 100% sure.

Not sure if u need to do something in the bios for the mobo to start using both vid cards. But if u want u can test it by running for example aquamark 3 (google for free download) and then taking the other card out and then running again. If u don't notice any drop in the score then the other one is not working.

Some games support SLI, some games don't. If it supports SLI, it will get a performance boost, if it doesn't, you may loose FPS. If it doesn't support it, just turn SLI off.
