Dual Boot on external HD

Beta member
i am trying to dual boot Win7 and XP, I can't because I am using SATA harddrives and can not find the proper F6 drivers for my computer. (I have a Alienware Area-51 with a intel i7 cpu.) If you know what driver to use please let me know.

But my question is this...I have a Western Digital external Hard Drive, Is it possible to install XP on the hard drive and just keep it plugged when i want to use xp?

I tried doing this through my external drive but it ran really slow. Operating system don't run the greatest off of external drives from my luck. I would just set up you internal drive to two partitions.

May I ask what you going to with XP instead of 7?
