I'm literally going insane. I own an Acer 5750. It worked fine, until I started lagging recently, so I decided to do a full factory restore. Halfway through, it tells me it needs a CD to reinstall windows from. I thought it was integrated into the computer as usual, and was forced to cancel the system restore to find a windows CD. Today I borrowed an install CD from a friend, but the install doesn't come equipped with any drivers. So I can't connect to the internet, damn, it doesn't even show that I have any network adapters.

Since I'm fairly certain my network card is from Intel, I tried installing the intel wireless wifi driver, intel chipset driver, and intel wireless display driver, with no effect. It's still the same. Broken and useless. Any suggestions? I'm kinda desperate, as I need it for work.

You need to open it up and look at the make model of the wireless chip. That is the most important one right now. D/L it from another computer and throw it on a thumb drive or CD and install it that way. Once you get the wireless to work then you can do the rest. Have you also tried to plug it directly to RJ-45?

Right from the Acer Site. The Intel Network Driver.

If your not sure there is a Broadcom one:

Atheros:

Or you can just search the site for yourself and see what others your are missing:

That's the problem. I've tried installing those drivers, but nothing changes in device manager, and I'm still not getting a connection. I really am lost.
