If you see a DVD Writer that says

DVD + Write Speed X 22 I know what this meens.

But what does it meen when it says
DVD - Write Speed X 8

And it will give the same things for Rewite and Write

No this it what my Drive says

D.V.D + R Write Speed = 22 X
D.V.D + RW Rewrie Spped = 8. X

Then it says

D.V.D - R Write Speed = 22 X
D.V.D - RW Rewrie Spped = 6. X

I need some help with something I would like to try?

I foundout tht win xp pro can support Cluster Size as small as 512 Bytes.
And if you are not going to use a Hard Drive for Stoage then format the Drive to the smallest Cluster size.

So this is what I want to do?

I have a 320 GB Hard Drive and I am just going to use it for Installing all my Programs and to Install win xp pro.

Since it will not be used for storage and just Programs and win xp pro I was going to format the Hard Drive to the smallest Cluster size win xp pro can support.

So I was going to format the Drive to NTFS and use a Cluster size of 512 Bytes.
Then just Install win xp pro and all my Programs.

And for my storage I am going to use a 500 GB Hard Drive and format it to NTFS and use the Largst Cluster Size.

Because my Files for Storage will be Video and Audio Files and they are all around 8. GB and 20 GB.

So am I right in thinking that the best use of stoage space will be to use Large Cluster Size.
And the Best use of Cluster Size for a Hard Drive that will just have win xp pro and all Programs Installed is to use the Smallest Cluster Size???

Personally, I think you should just let the cluster size alone. The performance difference is slight at best.
