Dozens of Popular Android Apps Leak Sensitive User Data

Lazy coding on the app developers' side. They didn't take the time to encrypt before they send across the internet.
 
Do you know if the people who develop andriod apps are also developing the apple ones? If so wonder why its focused on andriod... kinda would make sense for it to be both.

Not sure. I guess you could fire up WireShark and test for yourself to see if you can view plaintext being sent, if you use any of those apps.
 
More than likely not, unless you're jailbroken using non-official apps. This kinda stuff doesn't bother me though. I barely use the internet on my phone.
