not exactly spyware is malicious in nature adware usually monitors your websurfing let's say if you look at a page with laptops this adware will open a window with ads to buy laptops. It's like banner ads that's how it stays free. Google download accelerator is good as well.

it has Spyware i think ... i would use Free Download Manager
