Does this also read CDs and DVDs?

Does this
SONY DWD26A DUAL FORMAT 16X DVD±R/±RW + CD-R/RW DRIVE DUAL LAYER
Read DVDs and CDs as well as burn them?
I was looking at the specs and saw
DVD-ROM Read Speed: 16 X (DVD, DVD-R)
as well as
CD-ROM Read Speed: 48 X (CD,CD-R)

which made me wonder if I didn't need to get a DVD-ROM afterall.

It will read both. Thats what DVD-ROM and CD-ROM mean.
