Do you use Linux Live CD's?

I've got Knoppix, but there's no point in it seeing as I've got an HD install of FC3, dualboot with Win2K.

Knoppix is useful when you have absolutely no other way of booting the system, and I used it for stealing SAM files from school once.

Live CDs are a life-saver man. A LiveCD really comes in handy when your OS (esp. Windows) craps out on you and you need to get files out or need to use the com urgently.

I've tried Knoppix and Ubuntu (and ubuntu is awesome!)

Knoppix was a lil slow on my computer.. ubuntu is about the fastest live cd i have used..

now I just downloaded gentoo iso now is that a live cd or not. and is there anyway that i can install it like windows without keep putting the gentoo cd in it?
