Hey guys,

I am just wondering if i should attach the 12v rail to my mobo? I have the normal ATX power connector attached but im not sure how much my system will drain.

My system specs:

AMD 64 3400+ (Newcastle core)
1Gb Kingston PC3200 400mhz RAM (2 x 512)
XFX Geforce 6800 GT 256mb
Asus K8v SE Deluxe Mobo
Creative Sound Blaster Audigy ZS
LG DVD drive
LG CD-RW drive
Sony Floppy
120Gb seagate baracuda HD 7200rpm

Advice apreciated.

dont worry, i decided to try it and see and it fixed two problems i was having (no post messages from mobo and case fan not working properly).

so the answer to anyone else wondering is yes :)

Dont remember the proper volts but make sure that lader one that feeds you Mobo is attached and the smaller one that feeds your CPU is atached as well.

I ran my comp without the cpu for a while not knowing back in the day when i was a complete moron. Boy did my system run unstabily.
