Direct 3D

Ok I launched dxdiag and went to display and tested Direct 3D and this error came up:

No problems found.
To test DirectDraw functionality, click the "Test DirectDraw" button above.
Direct3D 7 test results: All tests were successful.
Direct3D 8 test results: Failure at step 6 (No hardware supported display modes found): HRESULT = 0x80004005 (Generic failure)
Direct3D 9 test results: Failure at step 6 (No hardware supported display modes found): HRESULT = 0x80004005 (Generic failure)

Anyone know how to correct this errors. I'm trying to play a game and a D3D9 application error pops ups saying that it cant find a compatible Direct 3D, so I'm suspecting this is the problem. Does anyone know if it is?

Try reinstalling directx.

Ok i downloaded the program. Now where do I extract the directx files to?

No, you don't need to uninstall. Just reinstall it onto the default directory.

Ok i reinstalled directx and still gives me an error when i test direct3d.

This time, try to reinstall updated video card drivers.
Uninstall old ones before the install.

Also, what video card you hard?

I have the nvidia geforce go 7900 gs for laptops. I'm not sure exactly how to uninstall those drivers? Where do i go to delete them?

EDIT: Never mind about the uninstallation. I got it, but where do I go to install the drivers?
