It only has 2x zoom but for everyday pictures, hangin out with friends, family, things like that. It works great. I love it. It has, i think 6 different filters, takes very clear 8x10 pictures. I love this camera.
Another thing i guess is how low are you willing to go with zoom.
You want more megapixels, I am guessing you know that the larger the megapixels the more space it takes up on your memory card. So if you are going to be getting a camera with a large megapixel, dont forget about the cost of the memory card, because the 16mb card theyusually give you is good for about 8 pictures with my 3.2 megapixel camera.
Another question, to go along with what you plan on using it for. Is the size you want. If you are planning on taking it out to the bars, or to carry with you all the time like a cell phone you would want something slim and light weight. Now if you are planning on using it just for like family occasions such as vacations, holidays, the size may not be as big of a factor. The size of my camera is the only complaint i have with it. Its not huge but its about twice as thick as my cell phone.
Another feature i thought i might include is, dont bother gettingone with video if it doesnt also have audio. It is totally pointless. My camera has both and works great for catching short video clips.
