Difference between RAM?

Just out of curiosity, what is the difference (if any) between sticks of 256 mg SDRam with the chips on one side to the same with chips on both sides?

Are they compatible or is one better that the other etc.

There isnt really any difference between the two, and they are compatible.

Just wondering because I have a 128 mg and a 256 mg stick of Legend SDRam (chips on one side, bought a 256 mg stick of Hyunix (going real cheap) with the chips on both sides and I have heaps of trouble. I ran Simtester and it says all the ram is ok

i have two 128 mb pc 133, the chips are all on one side on one stick, it works ok.

1x 128 MB PC133 (single-sided) + 2x 256 MB PC133 (double-sided) on a VIA Apollo Pro 133A motherboard - works fine.
