how true is it? did valve really get hacked or is it some little nob trying to stir up trouble

Yeah, it was a hoax, someone got into a part of their website, it only affected the LanCafes though, and it was rectified rather quickly. It wasn't a big hack, just a bit surprising.

This happened a while ago. VALVe said only the part associated with LanCafes was affected, not the main part of Steam. I haven't heard anything about it since though...

Idk but I didnt notice CSS and HL2E1 were lagging today as well as Gary's mod
I don't think that this is all connected but you never know
