No, only the UEFI option since you have UEFI enabled, and installed Windows with UEFI enabled.

Think it's my cmos battery? Computer crashes, reboots asking to boot from proper device and dates and times have changed.

The CMOS battery wouldn't be causing the crashes, but it could be causing the date time reset / settings not being saved.

Test your CMOS battery on a battery tester or a multimeter and see what it's putting out. Or just go and buy a replacement if you don't have a tester/multimeter on hand.
