diagnostic software?

Im trying to start up a pc repair service in my little town, im pretty astute with computers and have been since a young age however im the first to admit i dont know everything. i want to get some bootable hardware diagnostic software and wanted to know if you guys had any suggestions? also is there some useful hardware that i might need?

what hardware exactly does the "pci post diagnostics test card" test, is it just testing the mobo or does it test other comonents as well? the other tools seem intuitive and a must have.

I've seen some people selling hardware diagnostic testing cards before. I honestly wouldn't drop any money on one of those. Almost completely unnecessary to have IMHO.
